We understand that times have changed, and Total Dental Solutions is more than ready to adapt. Our patients’ safety has always been our #1 priority, which is why we go above and beyond the guidelines set forth by the ADA, CDC, and OSHA. But, we understand that we now need to do more to protect our community and give our patients peace of mind, and we’re ready to meet the challenge.
Here is a brief overview of the elevated safety protocols our dental office has put into place:
New Procedures For Our Dental Patients:
-
You will be given a brief health screening over the phone and in-person when you arrive at the dental office.
-
We kindly ask you to stay home if you have recently experienced any fever, cold, or flu-like symptoms. We’ll be more than happy to reschedule your appointment.
-
Hand sanitizer will be readily available throughout the dental office, and you’ll be asked to use it before and after your treatment.
-
You’ll be given a no-touch temperature check.
-
We encourage you to wear a mask to your appointment. We’ll have you leave it on whenever the dentist or team isn’t working on you.
-
We may have you rinse with an antimicrobial mouthwash to reduce the harmful bacteria and viral load in your saliva.
-
Please plan to attend your appointment alone. If someone accompanies you, they may be asked to wait in your vehicle while you are being treated.
New General Dental Office Procedures:
-
Our reception area will be cleared of often-touched items like magazines because they are very difficult to disinfect.
-
Our seating will be arranged to allow for easy social distancing.
-
All common areas and contact surfaces will be cleaned and disinfected on a regular schedule between patients.
-
A medical-grade air filtration system has been installed.
-
We have reduced the number of patients we see each day to keep the foot traffic in our dental office low so everyone can maintain social distancing.
-
Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you arrive early, please wait in you car until your scheduled appointment time (or about 5 minutes beforehand) and then come into the dental office and check-in. Due to our reduced capacity, we may have to reschedule your appointment if you are late.
New Dental Staff Procedures:
-
Every staff member will take their own temperature before leaving for work and have it taken again before entering our dental office.
-
Our staff has been trained to recognize potentially contagious symptoms and are instructed to stay home if they notice them or come into contact with someone they know is sick.
-
Our team will be wearing extra pieces of PPE to promote our safety as well as our patients’.
Please give us a call if you have any questions about our heightened safety protocols. We appreciate your patience with these adjustments, and we hope to see your smile very soon!
